A relaxed, welcoming tournament-style event for both beginners and advanced players.

⏰ Time: 1:45 - 4:30pm | Doors Open: 1:00pm
⏳ Schedule: Tournament play begins at 1:45 pm
📜 Tournament Rules: Games will follow the National Mah Jongg League rules with two rounds of game play. Click here to review our Scoring Rules for the event.
🏆 Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place players in both Beginner and Advanced divisions. Plus, enjoy a chance to win fun door prizes!

Shavuot celebrates the wheat harvest in the Land of Israel (Exodus 34:22). The date also marks the giving of the Ten Commandments to Moses at Mount Sinai. On Shavuot, Jews traditionally eat dairy foods and sweets, reflecting the tradition of the Land of Israel as “flowing with milk and honey."
Tournament players and volunteers will enjoy coffee, tea, and dairy-based refreshments—including cheese straws and sweet pastries.
All tournament proceeds benefit “Heal the World,” Hadassah Hospitals. Creating a bridge to peace through medicine, Hadassah Hospitals provide advanced medical care to all, regardless of race, ethnicity, or nationality.
